We are a family that likes using dust wipes and gadgets to tackle the every other day dust needs of the house. I have my thirteen year old son doing these duties on Saturday mornings.
When the sleek brown aluminum can with a green top portion that has a orange lid with the lever arrived we were impressed. This is a no wax formula. The canister needs to be shaken well before each use. You have a few options for utlizing the New Swiffer Dust & Shine Furniture Spray. There is the option of spraying directly onto the furniture and wiping with either a paper towel or dustcloth/rag. Another option is to spray directly onto the cloth that is used for the wiping.
The nozzle is easy to press with the spraying contents more like a mist. I do not like using paper towels since that creates much more waste than a single cloth, but a cloth needs to be disposed of. We do not have laundry facility so that means once a week trip.
We have wood cabinets in the kitchen so they were tested out with the New Swiffer Dust & Shine Furniture Spray. Little did we know that would cause a sweeping motion of the feet as we glided over the kitchen flooring a little while later. You need to work fast to wipe the sprayed area dry.
The wood table in the bedroom holds the television on top and has s shelf on the bottom. This looked really nice when dusted. There is baby powder used on a daily basis in there, which causes residue. The shine was nice, but I am not sure how long it actually lasts.
The coffee table was also used on all sides with great results. The kitchen table is utilized for the computer and printer. It has prints from hands and elbows and cleaned up nicely.
We have a new black leather recliner chair that got some spraying at the back. The scent is instantly recognized and the shine looks good. This is the first thing a visitor would see upon entering the home, so shining the back portion gives off a nice glow. I did not do the arms or sitting section of the chair since the cat likes to sit there. He might end up licking the arms or smelling for too long.
Besides wood, the New Swiffer Dust & Shine Furniture Spray is good for use on marble, leather, wood laminate and granite surfaces. Now I know when my son has finished his dusting duties thanks to the tropical sunrise scent. Other scents include Citrus Zest, Lavender Vanilla and Tropical Breeze. The suggested retail price is $4.29.
