Hmm... I'd be interested to know which 3...
How could I not mention Aiplane!?!?! It's just too funny for words.
Happy re-watching,

I've only seen six of the movies on your list, but three of them would make my own top ten comedies list without question, so I'm happy. And thanks to your mentioning Airplane!, I went and re-watched it today. Thank you. :o)

I must borrow some of those old classic myself... :-D

I'm awfully glad to see that you chose some of the great classics of comedy. One thing that I love about them was the sense of timing and the quiet way they went about getting a laugh -- no need for crass bodily humor here. The Dish had me howling in sections, especially when a 'guard' is shouting Halt - who goes there?, and a sheep baaahs in reply. Thanks for the list, I think it's going to be time to curl up with an oldie soon. -- Telynor

Ah, I think it's my British sense of humour that's caused most of these to be in here... the Ealing Comedies were all great (there migh be an exception but I can't think of one!), I was tempted to include them all...
Thanks for the comment! :-D

that others would have seen the Ladykillers. ha ha. It seemed like such an obsolete film but I, also, found it hilarious. But then, I do love British humor.
I always wanted to take "We're no Angels" seriously, but they wouldn't let me. Such fun.
Thanks for a great list. I'll check some of them out.

Hi Stephen! Somehow I knew you'd be (one of) the first to comment! :-D
I'm not sure what most people would classify "Strictly Ballroom" as, but as well as being an amazinglly good film, I found it hilarious. (Ozzie and Brit humour seem to have quite a lot in common, except perhaps the Australians are more into surreality than most Brits - with the exception of myself! :-D) I loved the humour in it, particularly in the pseudo-documentary moments. But some would probably call it a musical... (then again, I also called "Some Like It Hot" a Musical too!)
Maybe I'm jsut weird... it seems likely, anyway.
Cheers!

Quite a motley assemblage! Some I'd never heard of, some don't strike me as very funny, but the real surprise is that "Strictly Ballroom" (which I like a lot) is a comedy. It has some grotesque ballroom association characters, but...
