The Bottom Line Little to no on site support and Company information. Price I checked not Publisher authorized. No options.

I was going through the reviews and noticed this site had a much better price ($27) on National Geographic than I had just recently ordered it for ($34) from another site - so I decided to investigate. I first e-mail the service I ordered from who told me this was not authorized and recommended I contact National Geographic directly (they also stated they would as well). I did contact National Geographic, via their 800# and did in fact find out that they are not authorized.
I also notice that their address on epinions is:
212 WEST SUPERIOR ST
STE 300
CHICAGO IL 60622
UNITED STATES
but their Better Business bureau listing says:
Valuemags.com
1964 Michigan Ave
Salt Lake City, UT 84108
Phone: 800-684-5373
Fax: 506-691-3217
Strange?
To give a full review I tried to place a test order, intending to do a mail order - can't be done - you must give them your credit card information up front, in fact you must give them all your personal information before you can do anything - not me).
When you click on their contact link it opens your e-mail (something I don't like), with their e-mail address, no other information.
Their 'about us' page tells you nothing except that they are a Contrail, LLC Web site??? - something not shown in the BBB either - and I have no idea what this means.
The offer a 30 day money back guarantee if there's a problem. As most monthly magazines do not begin in 30 days I don't see how this helps.
The site is plain, simple - at least efficient.
Frankly it appears they are trying to hide something, and the fact that they are selling at least some magazines without Publisher authorization scares me.
As I have not and will not order from them I will give them an average on the review details I can not answer (many of which require you to order). I checked into this because I thought I might have paid to much for National Geographic when I saw their price - now I know better.
