Amazon.com did not have the book I wanted in stock but I found the book I wanted here. I placed the order and waited. Two weeks later, I still had not received the book so I checked on the status of the order and it said it was cancelled. I was never notified of this and had to inquire as to why it was cancelled. They replied with this:
"Regrettably, we were unable to ship your item. We make every effort possible to ensure all items we list are readily available and are successful with virtually all of our orders. We are dedicated to providing excellent customer service and will work diligently to ensure it is prevented in the future. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. We greatly value your continued business and encourage you to contact us with any concerns."
So that didn't tell me anything. I again contacted them via email (there is no phone number to call).
"Thank you for contacting us. We do apologize for the confusion, however as stated below the item was no longer in stock and we were unable to fill your order. Again, we do apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you."
I was never notified that the item was not in stock, even when I placed my order and after receiving the order confirmation. Now it's too late to order from another site to get the book in time for Christmas. (I ordered it on December 1st). Thanks for nothing.
