They're crooks! Don't send your books-you'll never get paid!

Ecampus.com offers to buy your used books. On September 30, I mailed them 4 packages containing a combined total of 47 books, for which they gave me a total buyback value of $66.63 and an estimated payment time of 4 to 6 weeks. At the end of November when I still had not received my money, I called. I was told that things were taking longer due to a backlog but they would push my payment through and rush it to me. It is now December 23 and I still have received no payment. I called and CSR Jamie told me that my account showed no record of a payment being issued. She refused to let me speak to a manager and said she'd deliver the message and the manager would call me back. I said that I'd hold for her to be available. She said that the manager wasn't actually there. I asked when she'd be back. Jamie said she didn't know. I asked then how was the manager going to return my call? She said that it usually takes around 3 days to call back and she didn't know when I would actually be contacted. All she offered was another empty promise to "rush" my payment through to accounting and get it sent it out. They have had all of my books since September and yet offer no payment.
The Kentucky Better Business Bureau reports many many complaints about this company. Most complaints are about their Buy Back Policy. In the last year alone they've received 126 complaints. Unfortunately, I didn't think to check their record before I sent off my books. My complaint just joined the masses. Beware of this crooked company! Don't send your books to them and don't help keep them in business by buying from them.
