Ordered a Schwinn bike on 12/10 with a promise of a delivery within 5-7 business days. Received a message from their customer service manager stating that all orders prior to 12/17 had been shipped and that Schwinn allegedlly had "expedited" shipping. Found out through UPS that it hadn't shipped until the 19th with an estimated delivery date of 12/30. Called their customer service number only to have them re-state the same information I could get from the UPS website, *then* transfer me to another number where the office was closed Christmas Eve. Absolutely clueless and unhelpful.
They apparently have a long track record of customer service blunders so my bad for not having checked more thoroughly. Vote with your dollars and put these guys out of business since there are a number of reputable folks who are getting squeezed by the economy.
