Terrible customer service, shoddy web site inventory status

I encourage everyone to take your business anywhere besides Modell's. I purchased a jersey for my nephew as a Christmas gift on December 15. I received an email saying the jersey was "awaiting inventory" and should be available soon. I assumed wrongly that "soon" meant "within 10 days." No word or updates from Modell's until Dec. 26, when they sent an automated email saying the jersey order was cancelled--without any explanation. Fortunately, my card wasn't charged so Modell's didn't get a cent from me, and they never will, nor from my friends and family.
