I used to use another online grocer, Safeway.com. I initially went to Albertsons because of the better prices. I will now be switching fully over to Albertsons because of the service. Their great substitution policy was the clincher. If they don't have an item you requested, they will give you a replacement item at NO ADDITIONAL COST! I was very pleased when they did that for me. In comparison, with Safeway, they either gave me a poor substitution, I had to pay more if the replacement cost more, or they'd give me no substitution at all. I'm disabled and don't drive, so if I was missing any items from Safeway, I'd have to take a cab up to the nearest store to get it. That defeats the whole purpose of online shopping!
Albertsons delivery was much better, too. They'd always be on time and helpful, they'd get all the right items. With Safeway, I've had drivers accidentally deliver my stuff to another customer, or some items wouldn't be loaded onto their truck, and I'd be charged for them anyway.
I don't mind if my neighbors see the Albertsons truck. In fact, I know some of them are jealous and wish they'd bought their groceries the same way. Well, who says they can't? :)
