The main draw of the American Automobile Association is that they can help you if your car breaks down on the side of the road, or if you need a tow somewhere around town. I re-new my membership every year, mostly for the driving that I do (which is a lot) and keep the card as someone to call in case I ever get stuck in the snow, or have one of our vehicles break down. The only great reason to have the membership is to carry around the AAA card for travel discounts at hotels, airlines, and even a lot of tourist attractions around the country. The web-site highlights where members can take full advantage of all of these benefits, and breaks down what each membership covers.

The site does have some slow-down times where I think too many people are on the site to handle it, but it never crashes, and it keeps plugging along until it returns results. For members of AAA, or people looking to get a membership for themselves or someone else, this is a highly recommended web-site that could really save a bundle of cash if used to accentuate vacation planning.
