I recently purchased a Canon HF10 camcorder from J&R. I was not too familiar with J&R but found them on the web. The web site was fast, responsive and easy to use. I thought about placing the order online but I had a few questions to ask about the product. So I called. I got in touch with a salesperson very quickly. It did not sound like I was calling a call center but an actual person at the store. He was professional, curteous and knowledgeable. I proceeded to ask a few questions about the product and when the questions were answered I decided to place my order over the phone. Normally I hate having to do this but the salesperson was actually 1) English speaking, 2) not hard of hearing and 3) competent. You laugh but I can't tell you how hard it is to find someone competetent enough to not mess up the transaction. Like I said, normally I'd never do this -- I'd just order online to ensure everything is recorded accurately. Within 4 business days I received my order. While I was waiting I wrote customer service an email. The item I ordered dropped in price shortly after I purchased it and I asked if they would honor the new pricing. A day later I received a response back that they would. Sure enough my CC was reimbursed to reflect the new pricing. No hassles, no worries, no problems. I could not be happier about the product I received and the online buying experience at J&R.
