The Bottom Line The song goes to the melody of “Dust in the Wind”..

Rita In The Wind

I board my doors,
Taping all the windows
So that they stay there
Gas I need,
People stopped in traffic far as I can see

Rita’s in the wind
Can’t see her yet,
But Rita’s in the wind

I run away
8 miles further than I was yesterday
Camped out at Wal-Mart
Roof is caving down,
The wind ripping it apart

Rita’s in the Wind
I see the eye of Rita in the wind

Can’t hold on,
Tornadoes touching down to the earth from high (above)
She blows away
The door is gone, but the windows left unscathed

Rita’s in the wind
My door and trees go flying in the wind….
My door and trees go flying in the wind

Recently I went down to Houston and stayed with my sister Christina for a month. During this time, Hurricane Rita hit, and a right before, a friend of mine that lived next door, his friend, and I composed a song the turmoil Rita caused. We had tons of fun writing this and I hope you'll enjoy reading it.
