One Hot Minute is a good album, inspite of Frusciante's absence (Reply to this comment)

Inspite of the absence of John Frusciante, I adhere to OHM being a good quality album the peppers have produced:
First of all, this is the second album so far to have reached a platinum status, after BSSM.
Also, Dave Navaro lends the album a golden rock-esque quality, which is rare on other albums.
I know that for many RHCP this may be considered as a disappointment, but I still maintain that it topped the charts in North America and throughout the world for over a year after being released.
This is the most underrated album by the Red Hot Chili Peppers. (But it's true - both Slovak and Navaro are not a chart-topping material, but Frusciante).

I've never heard this album, but thanks to this review I'm very tempted to listen to it now. Brilliantly analytical style, you certainly know your stuff.
Most Helpful review by far.

about the whole drug induced psychedelic part. RHCP has long been my favorite band and I must say this album is their least accessible...yet its also one of my favorites, I actually prefer it to Blood Sugar Sex Magik these days. the entire album has a very odd vibe to it...but anyway, thats a great review you wrote!
