Thanks!

The Ziploc unit is STILL holding up fine!! I love the fact that it needs no aggravating constant replacement batteries to work!!!!!!!!!

No aggravating batteries; Far less headaches and far fewer moving parts inside!!!!

Yes I forgot.

Those Reynolds bags ARE hard to clean, especially if meat was vacuum sealed in then.

The waffled side traps blood under it, making it awfully hard to wash! No good. No thanks.

I'll stick with the Ziploc unit. The bags are much easier to clean!

Yeah,I DID read that the Reynolds unit could be used with the Zoploc bags, but not the other way around.

But I don't care. I'll NEVER go back to that ill-fated piece of crap Reynolds unit ever again!!! If it was taken of the market right now, then so much the better!!

I just hate that thing with a pure passion and I wish that I was never enticed to buy it at all!!!

If there is any apliance that I've ever hated so much with a pure passion, it is THIS one!!!!

ZIn MY honest opinion, the Ziploc unit is far more superior than that piece of junk Reynolds unit will EVER be!!

In addition to no using batteries, the Ziploc valve seems to be more reliable. I had some valves that would not hold the vacuum on the Reynolds and I had some that would not open to allow the air to be drawn out by the pump.

And, the Reynolds bags can't be washed. The part with the waffle material is a double layer. When washing, detergent/water/contaminants get between the layers and that makes it non-reusable.

The Ziploc bag is a singly-ply and can be safely washed for reuse.

However, I wrap a lot of things in stretch wrap or place contents in another ziploc (non vacuum type) bag and this keeps the interior of the Ziploc bag clean for reuse on many items.

And, finally, in defense of the Reynolds pump, it pulls more vacuum than the Ziploc hand pump. So, the best of both worlds seems to be Ziploc bags used with a Reynolds cordless pump.

Yes, the Reynolds pump is compatible with the Ziploc bag but not the other way around.

I tried two of them.

The 2nd one also came on. but it just wouldn't suck the air out of the bags!!!

I truly regret ever buying that piece of junk!! I'm so glad that I'm not the only one who doesn't like that piece of crap!!

The Ziploc unit IS better, and there are no aggravating blasted batteries to have to replace at all!!!

YES! It was a disaster. What a waste! In fact we tried 2-3 of them, so we were happy when the Ziploc one came out.

We tossed our Reynolds and use the Ziploc now.. although my husband uses it for stuff like meats and cheeses and I usually don't bother with it!
