If you got the cash, get it. Peace.
This is a great computer for the avg home user who is looking for a top of the line computer. A concern I have though, is that ever since I got this computer, I've tried to install some accesories (ie. scanner, cd-r, etc.), and ran into some small confusions on how to do it. I gave tech support a call and asked for some assistance in my tailoring my computer, and got some pretty lame advice. Some of these guys didn't know what they were talking about, and I figured out with my friends how to fix it on our own.
I would recommend this computer to any computer trekkie who knows at least in part what he's doing. I would recommend this computer to college students, since it gets all I need done at super fast speeds, is efficient, hasn't crashed on me once, and gets all the work I need done. Just for your reference, some of the stuff I use this comp for: music editing, image editing, desktop publishing, writing reports, power point progs, etc.
If you're planning to do silicon graphics editing, I may recommend something a lil faster, as the SD Ram is said to be becoming obsolete, though I have no idea why some people would say that, as 512 bits of SD ram seems to the job just fine for me.
Anyhow, I spent about $1400 total on my comp, which I a 1.5 ghz processor. I thought this was a killer deal, and you can get even faster ones for even cheaper now, so I say, go for it.
