Pros: Easy to use site makes it easy to cheer someone up.

I see you have written this quite some time ago, I have just came across your wonderful writing abilities and am 'going down the list' as I do when I find someone I like. I am some what new to epinions in the fact that I haven't written much, but I love to read others epinions as well. I am so moved by this, I needed kleenex about half way through. How wonderful!

I want to thank you for popping into my Epinions life a couple of days ago.

I am beyond charmed. You are a delight.

I'm not a big believer in coincidence. You and Jack have been good for Julia -- and she's been good for you.

I have 3 sons and there are very few things I can imagine that would keep me from speaking to them. Life is just too short for that. I hope your mom figures that out before it's too late.

Thanks for your kind words, Judy. Sad to say, but despite raising me right, my Mom is singularly unhappy about my sexual orientation. We haven't spoken in some time.

I'm glad you enjoyed my posting, though. I've had some time to think about it... That one bunch of roses brightened a LOT of people's days, not just Julia's. I'd do it again in a minute. We've had a few nice brunches with her, and she's a really interesting and funny person.

And I'm glad to hear you snagged yourself a good one - you seem like someone who deserves it.

Best regards

What a sweet thing to do! (Reply to this comment)
by jgibson2
Your mom must be very proud of you. She certainly raised you to treat old ladies right.

As for the throaty sexy laugh, that's definitely an attention-getter with or without the fingernails. Good thing, too, because my fingernails are mostly too short to do any good. No I don't bite them.

And you're right that all the great guys aren't gay. I married one, and I know a couple of others.

Hi Virginia!

I think we have a buddy in common up in the Great White North - I've seen your comments on some of his reviews. You most recent posting on the Enquirer was a real hoot! Welcome to my WOT, and thanks for the RR &C!

Best regards,

Tom

I keep hearing about you but this is the first time I have talked to you on-line. That is a great review - and many of my favorite on-line pals are in the comment section. What a great evening for me. On behalf of senior citizen women everywhere, thanks for being nice to that elderly lady. I hope someone finds me in the park when I get old. With my luck I'll probably meet a crabby old duffer of a cop that will tell me to quit feeding the pigeons and go home.

Ah Kristina,

1) You are a sweetie-pie also.
2) Um, well, we're not ALL gay. And it took me 20 years to find this one!
3) Peep away - I live for that.
4) Not much call for compliance officers in the Hoosier state, but I've visited and would go back.
5) Consider this a virtual bunch of roses for you - I think pale pink might suit you.

Thank you Kristina - you made me smile with your kind RR & C.

Best regards,

Tom

Mr. Tom-Tom,

Things I could say in the comment section to you:

1) You are a wonderful human being.
2) Why are all of the great guys gay?
3) Why do I feel like a peeping Tom (hah) every time I read one of your reviews?
4) Can you guys move to Indiana?
5) At last but not least, I could use some flowers...want my address? *ahem*

Kristina :)

Game, set, and match - I love to volley with you sweetheart. It's so much fun being straight man for your jokes.

Of course, that's the only way I'm ever gonna be a straight man, but that's another story for another day. I fake it real good though.

Tom

Yes, you got it! I have a few very cool cross-generational friendships that are incredibly rewarding. I'm glad you saw that, and thank you for the RR & C!

You are precious! (Reply to this comment)

Simply precious. Here I've been, moaning 'n groaning about my stupid little problems, and you've been making the life of a nice old lady with some very big reasons to be sad a little sunnier. Angel wings for you in heaven for certain, and I'll be mopping the floors.

Seriously, that was probably the most thoughtful thing I've ever heard. How many times do new people cross our paths every day, and we simply dismiss them as potential friends because they're too young/old/fat/thin/loud/timid/etc.? You two are lovely gifts to the rest of us.

it started off innocently enough. There I was minding my own business as I picked through the "just ins". Suddenly I found myself utterly captivated.

Where have you been all my life...well..Epinions life that is? That was a wonderfully written and extremely touching review. Now I find myself drawn to sit down with a cup of tea and read the rest of your reviews.

Keep writing. There's always more tea to be sipped.

Thank you James, but I have to point out that I've seen some very compelling evidence of gentlemanly conduct in your reviews and comments that you've left.

Aw, c'mon, admit it. You're classy too, Speedo and all. Thanks buddy.

I prefer the local guys too, but it's not always convenient. I'm glad for Keri, that she has a guy who realizes that the BEST reason to send flowers is NO REASON at all.

Thanks for the RR & C buddy!

This was a touching story... (Reply to this comment)

...but I will always use a local florist without the id of FTD, as is my personal experience that FTD is an acronym for 'filthy tyrannical demons', and I have never known of concern for quality on their behalf.

It was really a nice gesture of you, and I think I'm gonna send Keri some flowers at work today, so thank you.

Aww, Roxy, you outrank even Cascade - and anything that can get my Mikasa clean without scratching it up in the dishwasher is priceless.

Hope that you and Mr. Roxy "get up to no good", as a certain policeman would say. And I thank you for your RR & C. Give Psycho a hug and a good explosion for me.

"Ladies, I believe your equivalent is the throaty, sexy laugh, administered while lightly running your fingernails down your beloved’s neck, just below the ear."
Damn if I know why I'm sitting here reading, rating, and commenting when the above quotation sounds so much more appealing......Fantastic review...gotta run!!!!!!!!!!!!

The beauty (Reply to this comment)
by roxymarie
of you is so enchanting that it sometimes leaves me quite speechless. Your one of those rare people who's footsteps in life are paved with such a marvelous genuineness that it fills one lucky enough to watch you with giddy delight.

You've also managed to make me crave the sight of my husband at 3 in the afternoon. Though in all truth I always crave the sight of him even after 7 years of marriage, but your piece reminded me of what I love the most and thats watching him come home. Everyday without fail I watch him get out of his van, dusty and worn from a hard day with a sinful smile on his face as he sees me watching him from the window. The throaty purr that masks itself in a Hmmmmm Hi Honey as he hugs me. God 4:30 just isn't coming fast enough today.

Roxanne

P.S. I wanted to thank you for giving me top billing over Lysol in one of your comments. I've been trying for years to get a leg up on Lysol and now that I have well I suppose it's all down hill ;) Soon I will be trailing Toilet Bowl Cleaner.

Thanks Tom! Sorry your footwear hasn't been shed for good reason. Maybe red roses would help?

Cookies are also a good idea, but dietary restrictions sometimes make them not the best choice. Flowers seldom fail.

Thanks again and best regards,
