Stay away from HotelClub!!! I tried repeatedly to book rooms through the Hotel Club site, and each time, after I entered my credit card information, they informed me the rooms I wanted had been sold, and I needed to try again. The next day, same hotel, slightly different price, I try again, same result. This happened a couple times (it was a REALLY good rate at a REALLY nice hotel), and I wound up having to give up and go elsewhere for my booking. I went to their customer service page and wrote to them about my experiences, and asked for help with my booking, or at least an explanation. That was a week ago, and I still have heard nothing. This site has great rates, but I feel it is completely untrustworthy, and would not recommend it to ANYONE. I trusted it, as it had a Better Business Bureau seal, and seemed to have everything in place. Don't be fooled, Hotel Club is a useless waste of webspace and traveler time. My only positive comment is that they didn't actually charge me anything. Judging from the other reviews, I can count myself lucky on that one. From what I could gather by examining the site, they do not hold the booking while you try to pay, unlike EVERY OTHER TRAVEL SITE I have ever used, so this is apparently common business practice for them- selling rooms out from under people. Again, though, judging from these other reviews, I can count myself lucky that the reservation didn't go through. I used Expedia instead, which has always been wonderful, and have complete confidence in my booking.
