Pros:Attractive, does it all
Cons:Does to much! Beeps and buttons-Programming shouldn't be required to operate!
The Bottom Line: Overall nice machine but people who love gadgets will like it more!
If you are thinking of purchasing the GE Profile series of appliances, be sure to read my other reviews as I have a kitchen full of these and have been using them for awhile.
Now, for the microwave. It's a good looking item to be sure. I mean, it actually gets compliments [as does the entire Profile line] when people come into the kitchen. Assuming you are not the type who gets giddy when looking at kitchen appliances [and who is?] here's the scoop on functionality.
It's easy to clean with all the 'soft touch' flat "buttons", the built in carosel is a nice touch because I rarely remember to turn things in the microwave. The lights are easy to clean as are the filters etc. The timers, features, beeps, clock, and cute little messages that spit off instructions like your 3rd grade english teacher are overwhelming at times. I confess, I don't actually use a microwave very often but it works well when I use it....once I get the correct codes put in! My main complaint with this thing is that there are so so so many codes and programming to be selected from that it can take more time turning it on and off then to actually heat up something. I'm not into 'talking' with my microwave so the scrolling messages can be a nuisance--then again, sometimes they are the only way I can remember the correct 'code' for the item.
All in all, it's a space saving, attractive, fully functional item that is easy to clean and more or less easy to use.
