Travelocity honored their end of the bargain

I booked a package that included hotel and ski tickets. Needless to say, the thing that went wrong was that the ski voucher did not work. After talking with 3 CSR including 2 upper mgmt, they agreed to reimburse my tickets if I purchase them. After my trip, I sent in receips and all details involving the trip id. As expected, initial replies were refusal to refund. After several more tries, finally got an approval and I was reimbursed close to 3 grand. Quite a bit for a mistake on their part but Travelocity did honor their commitment.
So, I am probably one of the few who had a good experience with this company and I feel obligated to write a positive review to offset some of the negative ones. I did have a minor negative experience in the past with this company but very minor compared with this experience. I do recommend that being cordial and nice to the CSR who are mostly from India. The CSRs don't understand the situation most of the time and give you canned responses and or denials initially. Only after several replies and escalation to someone who do more research on your case then you usually get a positive outcome.
I recommend to be firm but nice and patient since it will take time and persistence to get what you want.
