My rather jaded look at the Christmas holidays in ten, not-so-traditional films.

... Hollywierd. It is now DollarMass.

So, these alternates are attractive. "The little Shop Around the Corner" gets my vote.

I think that episode "Noel" is one of my favorites in the whole series. Good choice.

"A Christmas Story" (Reply to this comment)

is usual fare, and "Eyes Wide Shut" loathsome trash, but "there's no accounting for taste." Lots of holiday good spirit in "A Lion in Winter"!

The holidays are out of control lately!

Lawsuits, boycotts and all...It just isn't the same Christmas anymore..Sorry to sound like "Debbie Downer" from Saturday Night Live (They should call me "Kimmie Krybaby" ha ha ha, even though my childhood nicname was "Kimmie Giggles") :)

Sometimes being a little jaded gets you though.

It is good to have an edge..Just dont go over it! :) Hey - another great catch phrase!!

Anyhoo, I said all that to say this...GREAT LIST! Keep writing!

Yes, it is the episode with YoYo Ma, and it's one of their better efforts. I'm not exactly thrilled with the last couple of seasons, some of the snap has gone out of the series, but it's still better than most of the fare on the tv these days. Thank you for the kind comment, I wanted to try and do something different this time. -- Telynor

have remembered that Eyes Wide Shut was set around the holidays - what a fabulous choice.

I think I know which West Wing episode you're talking about - the one with Yo Yo Ma, correct? If so, I truly believe it to be one of the finest episodes in the series.

Fun list - different from most others in a very good way (and thanks for the mention!)
