Pros: Sounds great! easy to use. good price.
Cons: only 10 sec. playback, can fall apart on you
The Bottom Line: do they even make these units any more?

| witforbrains's Full Review: Sharp MD MT15 MiniDisc Recorder |
i've had mine for about 2 years. My first one had to be replaced on an extended warranty becasue it just quit for no apparent reason and they couldn't fix it - a big hassle all around!
THe SHarp sounds very good. It does everything its supposed to, recording is no problem, and its size never bothered me in the least.
Get nickel metal hydrided rechargable batteries, becasue they're the only ones that last.
WIth only 10 second of playback memory, you cannot jog or go up stairs without it skipping big time. You must carry it in your hand to jog with. After doing this for two years, of course you will drop it a few times. FOr me that is the biggest drawback: you can't run with it unless you hold it, and if you hold it eventually you will drop it. Mine just got bent up bad from dropping it while running but still works.
In todays's market of new features, I think this unit is worth about $130 - otherwise, I'd spend the extra $$ and get at least 40 seconds of playback memory (to prevent skipping).
I've never missed not having a remote in this unit.
The MD15 has been a hell of a lot of fun for nme, but i think technology may have made some significant advances since i boutght this one.
