On Happiness

The Bottom Line Beatitude is actual happiness for a reason.

Happiness is synthesis in spades,
Which is to say it rises from our pains;
All cut and bloody from misfortune's blades,
We are washed clean by change's healing rains.

Consider my beatitudes once more:
The happiness lies past unhappiness.
It is not abject meekness I am for,
But rather toward inheritance I press.

Think filling, think companionship, think joy,
Not states of deep depression and regret.
Such states our Abba spirit would destroy;
Beatitude says, Don't give up quite yet!

Life is not meant to be a vale of tears,
And we are not meant to crawl on all fours.
Beatitude is not a sum of fears
It lies beyond, it is Abba's strong force.

This force is free from rancor, does not cling,
To shards of twisted fate that are now dead.
Today's today, so let your freedom ring,
And see beatitude as real instead.
