I had never heard of Snapfish before last fall when I was watching the Oprah show and she was raving about how you could make these amazing photo books. Then she announced that she was offering a free book to anyone who wanted to make one. I had nothing to lose at this point. All I had to do was pay shipping and handling so I thought I would give it a try.
My first Snapfish book We were in the process of selling our home of 15 yrs so I thought I would make a book using the photos from the realtor. I thought it would be a great remembrance of our home. I was able to put all the pictures in as well as captions.
Getting Started with Snapfish I am not very computer savvy so sometimes I get a little confused but this site walked me through the process easily. First you upload all the pictures you want to put in your book into an online album. This step went smoothly and you could upload multiple photos so it was not a painstaking endeavor.
Picking your design Snapfish had several book shapes to choose from which was nice because you might want a large book or a small book or something in between depending on what you were putting in the book. After you pick the basic size of the book, then you are on to the design, page lay out. They had several to choose from or if you were an advanced user you could design your own. I picked one of the templates that they had because I do not consider myself advanced by any means. I went with a simple black background with white text and white outlines on the photos. It came out very sharp.
Making the book After you pick your design at Snapfish, you can flip throgh all your pages and pick which pictures to put on which page. You can add a photo to the front cover and the back cover. It was easy enough to add text as well. One nice feature they had was that once you picked a photo out of your album it would not be available so you would not accidentally put a photo in twice. All in all I think I put about 50 photos in my book. You could choose one large picture 2 medium 3 or 4 smaller ones. I am sure depending on your book size that might change.
Snapfish Shipping Time and Cost It took over a month to get my book but I doubt that is normally the case because of mine being a free offer I think they were overwhelmed and had to give priority to paying customers. I have not orders since but I plan to keep this up because it is a great way to preserve photos. Had I been paying the book depending on which one you wanted would be approx $20-25 Luckily I only had to pay shipping $5.95
The finished product The book arrived from Snapfish in great condition and the quality was amazing. The paper quality was excellent and the print was clear and sharp. I absolutely loved it and plan to buy more. The nice thing is that you can save your book so you or others can view it online as well as buy another copy in the future.
Other services at Snapfish I did not use any other services but you can order all kinds of photo sizes and posters, plus a variety of mugs tshirts mouse pads and other items you might want a photo on. The quality of my book was so great that I would definitely use Snapfish in the future
Another nice thing about snapfish is that you can upload and store and share your photos. There is no charge for this!!!
Will I be back? You betcha
