Yes you can choose from the chapters, but if you say wanted to find a favorite scene within a chapter you'd have to watch it through at 2X. I never said it was a big deal, but adding a 4X, 6X, 8X wouldn't have been too hard...

can you not bring up the menu on-screen and choose from the chapters? That's the feature on our PS2 DVD. Works fine for a game console unit, as far as I'm concerned. It's as handy as my dvd player seek feature. And, as you say, it is chiefly a bonus to the gaming features.

True, the GameCube is starting to look hotter with each moment passing, as it grabs new titles like Resident Evil Zero and SSX Tricky. But unfortunately the cool games, Metroid/Zelda/Mario won't be out for a while, so rather than suffer a winter drought I figured PS2 has got the touch for my gaming needs.

...PS2 does have some good titles out now its just too bad it took a year to get most of them out. Seems like Sony was making sure they released plenty of quality titles close to the releases of Xbox and Gamecube. Nice review but I think I'm still leaning a little towards Gamecube.
