Hi Suzi,
I would not say this product is any better than Clinique. I'll be the first to say it is overpriced. I mean, Chanel is only a few bucks more. But, if you care about the nice silver case and the really great taste of this product, it's worth it. Also, in comparison to Clinique, I believe this is a larger tube and a more dense lipstick.
Happy Holiday.

Great review and I trust the Ann Taylor name of course, but $15.00 for a tube?? Okay, Clinique is backing them, but Clinique' lipsticks are generally $12.50 or so. . . so would you say this is equal to or better than Clinique? Just curious.

Hey Mike,
You sound like a great dad! The kids must love you. If you're daughter is 9 years old--don't spend too much money on the stage makeup.
Have fun and thanks for your comments.

Why does a guy R,R&C on a lipstick review? (Reply to this comment)
by clubber63366
I'm a dance dad. My 9 yr. old is a competitive dancer and I've been learning lipstick, eyeliner, etc. for a few years now. I do a mean "ballet bun".

I'm not at a point where I think I'd pay for this high-end stuff. But 9 yr. old's soon turn to teens (aaacckkk) and I better learn because there is a direct relationship to age and cost.

VH,
Mike

Really! I have another errand to run and like you, have been hedging about buying those Ann Taylor lipsticks. Thanks to your great review, I'll just pick myself up one. A very well written review. Thank you!

PS: I'm still here, I've been a bit busy with work and the kids and I had a nasty cold, so my "evening" epinions has suffered! Sorry.

I think this comment is rather strange and do not quite understand it. However, what is really strange is that you and I have been rating each other's work very favorably for some time now.

In fact, just yesterday you VH'd many of my opinions.

Please clarify the meaning and I will wait before I respond in a regretful way.

( If you in fact did leave that comment.)

I know, I don't usually spend anywhere near that amount. I sort of splurged and was just taken in by the whole setup--happily I feel it was worth it.

I think you gals at Epinions are trying to put me in the poor house. LOL I've been trying so many of the products that are reviewed (and I've NEVER been sorry) Just recently got into Clinique products and LOVE them.

Now this! A $15 lipstick? To me, $5.99 is a lot. ha Thanks. You can bet I'll try this - hope they have a pale shimmering peach!

Great review.
