Aw that's a nice story. It would be a pretty upsetting opera for an eight year old. You either have very brave or naive parents.

was La Traviatta - I was eight years old and had better seats than I could ever hope for again if I live a hundred years more. Violetta practically died on my lap, and I cried so hard I couldn't stand up to applaud. I'm comfortable with loving the "amateur's favorite."
