Pros:Non-greasy, easy to apply cream that really does repair dry, cracked skin
Cons:Is pricey
The Bottom Line: Dr. Scholl's Pedicure Essentials Cracked Skin Repair Cream naturally moisturizes and repairs dry, cracked skin. It is expensive, but worth the price.
I was really surprised not to find Dr. Scholl'sŪ Pedicure Essentials for Cracked Skin Repair Cream in the Epinions' database under Health Care Products.
I discovered this product several months ago and it is the only one I have found that has healed the dry, cracked soles of my feet. And I have tried a lot of different products through the years.
I have gone bare foot most all my life and the bottoms of my feet were in bad shape.
In the winter time they will crack and bleed. But, not this winter, thanks to Dr. Scholl'sŪ Pedicure EssentialsŪ, Cracked Skin Repair Cream (hereafter referred to as Dr. Scholl'sŪ Repair Cream in this review)
About the Product
Dr. Scholl'sŪ Repair Cream has natural moisturizers that actually do repair dry, cracked skin. Not only on your feet, but your elbows, hands, knees, etc.
It also helps prevent and temporarily protect chafed, chapped, cracked or windburned skin and and lips.
It comes in a 3.5 oz. (99g) yellow and purple plastic container. It is white, thick and creamy and easy to use. Just squeeze out the amount you what and apply generously. (I put it on my feet in the morning after my shower and at night) Another plus is it is not greasy.
It is fragrance-free, hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic.
You can buy it at most stores that sell over-the-counter health/beauty products. I bought mine at Wal-Mart for $6.95. Yes, it is pricey, but it is worth it!
How does it work?
Dr. Scholl'sŪ Repair Cream contains lecithin, a phospholipid water binding agent found naturally in the skin. Each phospholipid molecule holds 15 molecules of water, which helps restore the skins's natural moisture balance.
In laymans language (mine), it softened the rough, callous skin on my heels and healed the cracked skin on the balls
of my feet.
My husband uses it on his hands which become dry and cracked in the winter.
