Pros:Easy to install, use. It glides like its on ice. Never again clean a mouse ball.
Cons:NONE
The Bottom Line: I love this mouse! This is great piece of equipment and for 20 dollars is practically a gift. Perfect gift for anyone.
I was sick and tired of cleaning mouse balls and still getting my cursor stuck or being it slow.
I work with huge spreadsheets; I need to be fast and accurate. One of my dearest friend suggested an optical wheel mouse since he had one.
I did not want to spend too much, after all ifs for work as long as it does what I want it to do. It sure did.
It was absolutely a hassle free install, pretty much I took it out the box and plugged it in, turned on the PC and there it was. It comes with software to adjust the reception and intensity. I even did not bother; the mouse was perfectly adjusted. I was/am in cloud 10, if there is one.
This mouse is in great shape!
This mouse is made for your hand! WHOOPIE! YUP it is ergonomically correct it fits in my hand quite well, I have small hands, but my roomie which is 6 feel one and obviously has larger hands is also delighted with its shape. My old roomie was left-handed he had the same mouse and he likes it as well. This mouse like any other has the main two buttons, for "clicking" and "right-clicking". The wheel is in the smack middle of the two main buttons. The wheel is covered with a nice soft rubber like material and it’s of extremely easy reach with either your index finder or ring finger.
What is that? Is your mouse on fire, it has a red dot on it.
Nope it’s not mad either. ehheeh. Someone asked me if it’s a hand warmer? Gosh no, that would be nice though.
Being an optical mouse it has this little red light on the bottom this is the way it guides itself, kinda like a little camera that senses where it is going. Please do not waste your time looking for the ball, you truly did not loose it.
There is not one. And yes that means you won’t need to clean it every so often. Gosh I hated taking the mouse’s ball to the bathroom’s sink and bathing it. (Hey that is what I have been told to do.)
This mouse glides like it is on ice. (Nope it’s not cold or hot)
Installing It
Even a child can install this baby. Disconnect the old one and connect the new one. Plug it in either the PS2 or the Serial port. The PS2 is the small round plug and the serial port is the small rectangular plug, sometimes they are even color coordinated. The mouse comes prepared with adapter in the case you need one or the other. No need to run to the store again freaking out. (It has happened to me.)
Once you have it hooked up, just turn on your computer. I purposely bought a Microsoft product since the sales person said that it would work better with Microsoft products, in this case windows and Excel. Depending on your version it may automatically load all the drivers necessary to use the mouse. Windows automatically finds this mouse.
You might want to install the enclosed software, just to adjust its sensitivity.
What is the wheel for?
This is the savior of my life. I can scroll up and down slow or fast with this wheel through large spreadsheets, through web pages, for those who like to surf and not read everything.
Or for those who like to read but not bother going to the scroll bar. Just scroll with your finger on the wheel. SWEET uh!
You want to scroll fast? Press on the well. Yes yes I said press. Arrows will appear. Move the mouse itself in the direction you want to go. Beware don’t move to fast, you will end up at the end of your document. This option is nice if you want to go to the top of the document without going to the scroll bar and do it real fast with your hand still on your mouse and not wasting that valuable time looking for arrows or looking for page up buttons.
I love this mouse!
Couldn’t say it any other way. My job is less frustrating thanks to this beauty. This is great piece of equipment and for 20 dollars is practically a gift.
What a difference can a mouse do?
A WHOLE LOT.
