The Others- complete surprise to me, too- and great.
Exorcist 3- the first two thirds

There are quite a few Stephen King movies that would find there way onto my list as well. The ones you mentioned are excellent choices.

really a scary movie person at all.When the eerie music starts, thats when I close my eyes & say tell me when it's over. I like the plots,but not the gore. I did see most of the movies on your list though. I like the ring & final destination and just watched the Exorcism of Emily Rose last week.I thought that movie was pretty good.Great review!

I did a top 10 horror of my own and had some of your picks on there. "Carrie" is my personal favorite. You had some interesting listings with good explanations. Nice writing.

I understand what you mean by Exorcist:The Beginning, but certain images stuck in my mind for a while after I watched the movie, and that has to constitute as Scary.
