i have been using softcup for about 6 months now. I find it allows me to function normally while on my period, which tampons that have to be replaced every couple of hours just didn't do. I also think its a great way to "go green". We just waste so much in America, especially with tampons. Its really easy to do as well. Just wash it out with antibacterial soap and let dry.
I am very active and if I want to go for a run or swim, I can't bring alot tampons and take time to change them every couple hours. I used to get thrown off my routine when I was on my period because of this. I would become inactive, which only complimented my bloating. It was terrible! Now I can leave it in all day knowing that i'm not being wasteful to the environment and no worry about leaks or when to change. I can exercise and have sex like normal. We shouldn't have to stop our whole lives for one whole week every month. I have recommended this product to all my family and friends and they love it! Anything that helps women to maintain as must normalcy when their hormones are going crazy is a good thing in my opinion. And don't be fearful, after you do it once its normal to you. Believe me when I tell you how extremely easy it is to put in and take out. Any gyno will tell you how safe and easy it is, especially for people who use the ring for birth control because it is pretty much the same exact thing.
