You are so right. Actually on some charts, household activities (and gardening) are listed as calorie burners. Of course I skip most of the household chores and burn calories at the gym and typing:) jo

I completely agree with your answer to #1. You can't stress eating well enough. Besides, cardio stuff can be achieved simply by taking a vigorous approach to household chores. You'd be surprised how much it can help to simply pick up the house, vaccum and do a few loads of laundry with regards to one's health (both mentally and physically for that matter).
