The sequel officianado! (Reply to this comment)

A lot of your selections are part II sequels. Don't blame you. These are all great fun. And I agree that Star Trek II is the best on the list. A great movie, and I am not even a Star Trek fan.

I'm starting to think I'm gonna get some flack for putting space balls on the list. Oh well. Thx for the comment.

It definitely did a better job with the culture and I loved the characters in it better too. There is so much tension between the different groups and I think it really comes out. Makes it a little more interesting in my opinion.

Trek II is well deserving of its place on your list. I was especially glad to see your comments regarding Predator II. You're right, most people seem to like the first and not the second, and though I like them both, I much prefer the second. It did a much better job of exploring the alien Predators and their culture.

Regards!

Star Trek II and Alien, I totally agree with you. These are total classics in the Sci Fi genre, and Star Wars as well. Although I view Spaceballs as a comedy, I guess it fits here as well in a certain way. I laughed so hard throughout that movie. Great picks,
Mike

Great choice for #1 :) I am working on my own Science Fiction list still... but I am afraid Space Balls won't be making the cut ;)

Take care...
