I can't believe I forgot to mention Amber. She came before Megan. Amber was my first encounter with every man's inevitable dating a younger woman experience. It's biologically sound-----older men usually have more money and power, which makes them more attractive. Because of this money and power, the girl is more willing to put out, which makes her more attractive. My motivations for dating Amber (summer before I was in eighth grade and she was in sixth (fucked up, I know, but keep reading) derived from three things: one, rebound (still frustrated over Ashley/Ashlee/Ashlie)). Two, revenge. I had to look good in spite of Ashley/Ashlee/Ashlie's new boyfriend. With a woman at my side, albeit a younger one (though I contend to this day that Amber looked my age), I'd retain the pimpness. Three, Amber was Micah's younger sister, and I like saying that I've dated sisters (which was mostly why I started talking to Melinda's older sister after we'd broken up, but that's for much later in the series). Two weeks later, I realized the effort wasn't worthwhile, and intentionally pissed Amber off while at the pool, provoking her to break up with me. When she realized the break-up was very serious, she was back within thirty minutes, lugubrious and in tears, begging me to get back together with her. I resisted (this had been the plan). The downside was that her parents were my ride home, and she was crying in the van the whole time (Micah and their two younger brothers were there too). Awkward, no? However, the Amber saga didn't end there. I still found her attractive, and realized that we'd never kissed (I adamantly refused the first time, for obvious reasons). We antiphonally dated my sophomore year and ended up making out one night, only so that I could say "I made out with Amber." After that I stopped talking to her, and have only talked with her sporadically since (to invoke jealousy, she started feigning obsequience around my best friend). Amber was never a high-quality girlfriend. Her inexperience with me (she put her arm around me once while we were walking around-----who DOES that?) and miserable osculation skills (the worst of the seven), as well as repulsive licentiousness (lost her virginity at 13), made her a wholly unpleasant experience.
