... Relative Values film is something I'll have to rent. It's the only one on the list, that I haven't seen.

A Man Went Up a Hill & Came Down a Mountain
Billy Elliot
A Room with A View
Cold Comfort Farm
Much Ado About Nothing
Howards End
Rob Roy
Brassed Off

Are just a few others that come to mind. Thanks for the write up.

Mary :)

The Full Monty and Sense and Sensibility -- both are wonderful to sit through. And I'll have to add Relative Values to my to-watch list -- I adore watching Colin Firth. Thanks! -- Telynor

Alright Stevie baby... listen here. Remind me. When was the last time you posted a freakin review? Eh? What was that? October?!?.

I'm pacing myself.

Actually I've been occupied with the heinous necessity of house hunting/moving etc for some time now. Hope to be making some contributions soon.

Please note that I have no interest in trying to add to your list. Your list is your list.... anyone with a different opinion should go write their own damn list.

I mean that in the nicest possible way of course.

If you liked Sense & Sensibility, you have got to see the miniseries of Pride and Prejudice. There are a couple of very good feature length versions, but the BBC miniseries with Colin Firth beats them all.

Ok. Everyone clear the room while I smack Steve around a bit. Can't be having any witnesses, right? Shoo...

horror and comedy, watch Shaun of the Dead and get back to me. It's definitely entertaining. My sis even says the pub they are in during much of the film is exactly as portrayed. Of course she has morphed into a "real Brit."

I'm afraid I must insist on mentions for Shaun Of The Dead and the immeasurably great Withnail & I. If you haven't seen either then you must. Now. At once.

you like our sense of humor. Apart from Benny Hill and Monty Python, most Americans seem to just not get it which is okay too. Great line-up. Thanks.

Not a single Blake Edwards movie? I would have thought Peter Sellers was worth some notice. But then, these are your favorites, so none of them are wrong.

Secrets & Lies was definitely one of mine.

About a boy??? What are you thinking! Hugh Grant is about the least British person in Britain BTW. Wicker Man would have been a good replacement. Monty Python is glorious!
