Pros: It is powerful enough for my needs and it is not noisy.
Cons: Way too leak prone for a plumbing appliance.
The Bottom Line: I would not recommend this. They leak too soon causing damage to floors and cabinets. Hidden away from view leaks cause problems beyond the replacement of the disposal.

| sbjones13's Full Review: InSinkErator 3/4 HP Heavy-Duty Disposal 444 |
I have had this insinkerator for probably six years but it was replaced a couple of years ago due to rust in the motor chamber causing it to sieze up. Now the replacement unit is leaking. Insinkerator is okay about replacing faulty units but there are way too many faulty ones. This is a plumbing appliance; it should not leak for at least 10 years. If the drains in your sink were rusting out and damaging your cabinets and floors every couple of years you would go through the roof. Do you replace faucets, tubs, dishwashers, clothes washers, or water heaters every couple of years? Heck no and if you did you would be looking for another brand. Insinkerator knows about the problem seals and rusting grinding chambers. They need to address those problems. Their willingness to replace under warranty implies that they profit enough to just send another unit if the thing dies during the warranty period. That would be fine if it wasn't such a hassle to change and it didn't keep warping my floors and rotting the cabinets. And it never happens at a good time. So I am researching in hopes of finding a more reliable disposal.
