My wife and I decided it was time to refinance our small home on 3/4 acre in Federal Way, WA. Went through LendingTree.com...decided to go with QuickenLoans because they 1) provided figures up front and 2) called twice to ask if I understood everything about the loan possibilities. Worked with Vinay Kondur (Vincent) and went through with the loan. No money out of pocket except $500 "earnest" or processing money...applied to the loan when finished.
One of the advantages was the use of the Internet. A website is provided to allow you to review...sign...print the docs as you go through. Another plus (and Godsend for us) was that all forms were sent to us as well as a Notary Public, who came to our house promptly at the time we specified. This was important as my wife and I work odd hours. We chose Tuesday night...7 pm...and closed in the comfort of our home with a very professional and amicable Notary.
A minor bump was scheduling the home inspection. Lot of them being done nowadays so it was a bit sticky getting it scheduled. But, once scheduled, the inspector was prompt and went through my house...took lots of photos...and was very observant to remove shoes when on our new carpet!
All in all, this loan experience was the best of all I've done in the last 30 years.
