Bait and switchers! BEWARE!!

I recently purchased a Panasonic Lumix DMC FZ28 10mp camera from Broadway before checking out the reviews about how the store did things. The price was about 75 bucks lower than any other store online so that was the first thing to grab my attention. They get a lot of heat for being scammers and rip-off artists, it's true, they are definitely scammers and rip-off artists. The camera is great and the price was right so I can't fault em for that, but when I made my purchase they called me to "confirm my purchase". In which they convinced me to buy an extra battery using bait and switch for an extra 30 bucks. They stated that the battery that came was a short life one, but it lasts more time than i've needed so far, at least 200 photos with flash. The one other plus besides the camera being inexpensive was the free shipping and little tripod/accessory package they threw in, but for the cost of the battery these added benefits weren't worth it. After the bait and switch game I checked for other customer's experiences here, many stated that they had fallen for the same trap, and many others said that the cameras come from the "grey market" that the products aren't covered under company warranties. My experience wasn't as bad as others but do be wary. They bait and switch like crazy, so don't fall for that part of their game and you should be ok.
