Starcraft is the only one of those that I would have included.
Honestly not a fan of PC gaming.

WHY NO FMA (Reply to this comment)
by tarikur
IT IS VERY CLEAR THAT THE AUTHOR NEVER SAW FMA (Fullmetal Alchemist), THEREFORE FMA IS NOT IN THE LIST. EVERY SURVEY AND POLLS SHOWS FMA NUMBER 1.
I AM A VERY BIG FAN OF NARUTO AND NARUTO SUCKS COMPARE TO FMA.

Actually, you're commenting on the wrong list. This is my top 100 games list, and I think the one you really meant to post on was my top 50 anime list.

Almost a great list (Reply to this comment)
by mabden
While looking down this list I liked everything I saw until I came to Naruto. I tried watching it, I really did, but after about 10 episodes of having everything explained to me by the show I dropped it. It's not a horrible show, just extremely over-rated.
I recently finished watching "Death Note" and (although the ending was a shock) I found it to be one of the best animes I have ever watched.
A couple of my other favorites would include "Ghost in the Shell", "Tri-Gun", "Cowboy Bebop", "Full Metal Alchemist", and of course "Death Note".
A while ago I would've added "Trinity Blood" to my little list, but although it could've potentially been a great show, it's suspicious similarity to "Tri-Gun" made it almost unbearable.

I haven't played all the games on your list, but ABSOLUTELY agree with the top choices, long live Edge and Rydia, I don't care if they were the support characters to 4/2, and FF 7 for second, perfect!!!
Great review!

Actually yeah, I usually avoid PC games. There are exceptions though, such as Starcraft, World of Warcraft, and Everquest.
Thanks for the comment

Your List... (Reply to this comment)
by sandyfl
Brought back a lot of good memories! Thanks. I was surprised though to see no PC games on it. Do you ever venture into that world? I think being an almost 30 year old fuddy-duddy has some bearing on why I like PC games better though...
Anyway, thanks for sharing and for the great memory jogging. Now I need to catch my breath.

Yay Ocarina of Time! I'm kinda surprised that only Sonic 2 made it on the list tho. I remember Harvest Moon - I almost became one of the vegetables I was growing, haha. And I watched a Fatal Fury movie just last night...
Good times!

Hey thanks for the comment man.
I've never been a fan of Metroid, at all. I've played most of the games, but I just can't get into them.
But yeah, you totally should check out Soul Blazer :)

Man, awesome awesome list. I'm surprised as all heck to see Tetris Attack on here; Mom and I spent hours and hours just playing the living heck out of that game, and to this day I believe I could just about kick anybody's asss at it :)
The Final Fantasies were well placed, although I probably would have switched 8 and 9 as far as placement goes. It can be surprising though, how affecting a game can be to you when it coincides with just the right "period" in your life. Super Mario World was indeed one of the last Mario experiences that I would go so far as to call "spiritual", when that Koopa Copter flew toward the screen, it scared the living hell out of me.
Super Mario 64 had a similar effect on me, but by then I think I was too old and cynical. Still, though, going back and playing it again might give me a different impression.
Am I off my hinges or did you actually leave off all the Metroid games? 'Cause that's just wrong :) Of course, probably half the reason I'm saying that is 'cause I'm currently working my way through Prime 2, and am finding myself impressed beyond the telling of it.
I could talk forever about the greatness of your picks, but I'd have to stay up 24 hours to do it!
I've never played Soul Blazer before, but because of you I definitely will be checking it out now!

It's not really a console war between the Rev and the 360. Totally different systems. One is for budgeted people, other is for techies. Same goes with PS3 vs Rev.

Nintendo published Perfect Dark on the N64, I believe that gives them rights to the game.

I don't know if we will see any Rare N64 games on the rev. Microsoft owns Rare now and when it comes to the portable wars anything that spites Sony is good for them. But Microsoft will be competing directly with Nintendo in the home console wars and woulden't make since to give all of Rares best hits to there competetor.

I think it would work pretty well with the thumbstrap, I mean, I really liked using the method with the Metroid Prime Hunters demo.

Actually, I was kinda hoping Perfect Dark would one day be realized for the DS, what with Rare already developing for the handheld and all.
