No wonder you and your wife shine. You have taken the time to share the good times as well as the bad. What a wonderful way to keep romance alive, and what lovely places to go to.

Congratulations on the birth of your new grandchild! Block Island sounds so pretty; we need to make a trip to LI and revisit those places!

Cheers,

Being quite a general category, I'm afraid my quota of "MH"s for this is used up - but this review was screaming out for the rating. I would have gone with the "MH" if I could. Well, at least you know!

Regards!

Phil,
I really enjoyed reading this. What a great idea for a review. BTW I love Newport. When I was in college (many moons ago) I used to drive there with friends. After college and after I moved away from NY I went there a few times with girlfriends when I was single and once after I got married. But it's been many many years since I have visited. Thanks for reminding me.

Also, I've never really visited the Hudson Valley. Another great suggestion!

BTW, hope when I'm in NY in a few weeks we can find time to hook up. I'll be with my 12 year old!

Even with five children you and your wife have never forgotten the importance of time for yourselves.

That is perhaps why your marriage has lasted for 35 years.

Congratulations on your new grandchild.

Best wishes,

Gill & Tony.

Some of these places, like Brandywine Valley or Cape May, were also popular getaway spots comin' from the south. Done my share of both, and Lord knows, winter wouldn't be winter without at least one stop in the Poconos or some other ski resort blessed area...

Great suggestions!

in Cape May a few years ago. I can't believe we never took the kids there. Somehow we missed it and hubby is from NY originally so he should have known! Block Island was our first get away after we met. Haven't been back but I'd love to see it 23 years later. jo
