As with most other people I am hesitant to purchase third party warranties.
I bought a new ( to me ) and expensive wireless headset yesterday from eBay however & was offered a warranty from SquareTrade during checkout.
I looked up the reviews here & they are great so I went for it.
Today I had my first reason to interact with the service side of the company & I was highly impressed.
I checked my e-mail this afternoon & discovered a new message from SquareTrade offering me 20% off on the warranty for the headset.
I already bought the warranty last nite so......
I emailed them & asked to be credited the difference.
Not more than an half hour later they had already issued the credit to my PayPal account & notified me with both an automated e-mail and a personal reply from a member of their service department.
Needless to say, I was suprised, if not shocked, at the efficient, speedy, and hassle free manner in which this issue was resolved.
This is how companies should do business; especially companies that are in the service industry.
I told them and I am telling you; not only will I make sure to use this service again in the near future I am actually going to refer them to friends, family, and co-workers.
