The NY Meet and Greet - Better Than Being Kicked in the Nachos!

The Bottom Line The title is an inside joke that, due to a lot of margaritas, I'm not sure I quite understand.
I'm sure this will come as a surprise to many, but I've actually got some free time this morning and have decided to go ahead and post my review. No promises that it'll be entertaining, though ...
This marked my second official MnG (was previously at the official DC MnG last May, and had my unofficial MnG a couple of years ago). Since I live in DC, it required just a little bit of travel to get up there. But since I work in NY frequently and have some great friends there, it was absolutely no skin off my back to head there again! Throw in free drinks, revelry with some ridiculously funny people, and karaoke, and it sure promised to be an unforgettable weekend!
Tombarnes and I headed over to the MnG together -- as luck (and priceline.com) would have it, we stayed at the same hotel. It was great to catch up with him, as I've not seen him since last May. When we arrived at the MnG, we saw Christal's beautiful, beaming face. Then I saw equally gorgeous Tomiko, whom I'd met the night before when I went out with Garrett, Speeddemon, Tomiko and my friend Elise (who may just join Epinions).
Of course, I tried to make a beeline for the bar, but couldn't go two steps without being called out by colonialpara (Paul), who informed me that he was going to steal my nametag yet again. Paul will be heading back to Iraq soon, and I wish him safe travels and an even safer time over there.
Fuche_bu (George) then accosted me and launched a pre-emptive strike by providing me with beer. Apparently, he thinks I stole a beer from him at the last MnG (false allegation!). By the end of the MnG, George had provided me with 3 cups of his special brew, and I think he'd informed approximately 3,478 people that we were having a "torrid love affair." His words, not mine. But the most special part was when he patted my belly and informed Davidmanning, Tombarnes and Prveditor that I was carrying his love child. Sheesh.
I forgive you, George. But you still owe me a beer.
I can't possibly continue this play-by-play, mainly because a lot of things started to blur together by my third beer. But I really wanted to meet Popsrocks and bryancarey and jo.com, three legendary Epinionators, and I was able to say hello to all of them! Marytara and her beautiful Belle spent some time next to me as well, and I may have even felt just the slightest baby pang! Of course, it went away almost immediately. Phew.
I know I met way more people than I'm citing here, and I apologize for not keeping all of the names/faces straight. I blame fuche_bu and his devious plan to get me drunk. What more can I say about the MnG, except it was super packed with really great people; the food was most excellent; the drinks were free; and the Epinions staffers were cute and fun and competent as always!
I do want to spend a special shout-out to those with whom I spent a majority of my after-party time on Saturday. Speeddemon, Roheblius, Dizzybint, Pearranoyed, Tomiko, Andyman, Bob_Tomato, Beckytcy, Tbthorn, DavidK, Pfyr-something, ned_1 ... you all made Saturday evening a night I'll never forget. I'm so glad we got to hang out together for dinner and karaoke, and that you let me sing in excess of 6 songs despite my downward-spiral of drunkenness.
Eps is a great community, and I feel very lucky to have met such great "imaginary" internet friends. Hope to see you all again soon!
