The NY Meet and Greet - Better Than Being Kicked in the Nachos!
by Krissieliz | Mar 27 '06
The title is an inside joke that, due to a lot of margaritas, I'm not sure I quite understand.

Just Waiting (Reply to this comment)

I'm just waiting for a M&G and me to bump into each other at just the right time so I'll someday end up doing more than reading about them. Thanks for the great peek into the party!

Kudos!

It was the beer talking. Everyone knows I took a vow of celibacy 40 years ago. It is good to have all the malice of last year resolved.

p.s. if you want the beer, you'll have to come up to Philly to get it.

It was great seeing you again! I enjoyed our all too brief chat(s). I have some photos of you (and others) I'll try to send this weekend.

The Epinions folks did a nice job (as usual) and I look fwd. to the next one of these that I can attend.

Wonder where it'll be?

Take care,

Paul

He he. Good Times, very good times. I had massive amounts of fun hanging out with you all week. You are hilarious, although I am not quite sure if it was the alcohol that made you crack incest jokes about me and G all Saturday night or just a twisted sense of humor that I have yet to embrace...:) Shot outs, right back at ya for being my drinking buddy and taking the time to get to know me. Keep your fingers crossed for Vegas. Take care and K.I.T.

Yep, we can watch Don Henley's dad sing all his old tunes. It would be like deja vu.

that you completely rock? If you are ever in north Texas, our light is on for you. Plus we know how to find good karaoke here - just ask Bryan or Garrett ;)

Looking forward to next time...

Unfortunately, my father passed away recently and I could not make the trip to New York. I still owe you some Eps dolls. The last ones I sent you were returned - I guess I had your address wrong or something.

Was so great seeing you again, I wish we could party more than once a year and for longer than one day. I noticed you didn't bum any smokes off me this time.... can't imagine why not. I vaguely remember someone asking if I knew Paradise by the Dashboard Light... which I do, word for word, but I was in no shape to stand at that point, let alone sing karaoke for the first time ever. Perhaps next time I'll summon the courage (I said that after DC too.)

Kisses!!!

you rock - it's nice to know I now have a DC soul sista. who knew we had similar life experiences. although next time you will be up on the table with me - not dancing on the floor.

Wasn't it the death spiral?

Anyway, great title. You proved me wrong on the review writing as well.

And finally, the oysters all tasted the same to me and you and your little cronies can't prove to me otherwise.

Nobody tried to get me drunk (though I managed well enough without them) or tried to convince anyone I was carrying their love child. I feel so... unaccosted. heh.

..
you said...
"But the most special part was when he (Fuche_bu/George) patted my belly and informed Davidmanning, Tombarnes and Prveditor that I was carrying his love child. Sheesh."

you later said...
"I may have even felt just the slightest baby pang! Of course, it went away almost immediately. Phew."

Hmmm . . .interesting juxtaposition..!!

Very entertaining account, despite your disclaimer at the beginning.

Very nicely said.

I never believed you were carrying his love child. Maybe an "I did what last night?" child.

Lovely meeting you. Nice purse.

It was great to meet you! I thought your karaoke performances were good, dawg, to paraphrase Randy Jackson. Bayard was thrilled to have someone to sing "Paradise by the Dashboard Light" with.

George tried the same routine on me (not the love child one- the get drunk one). It almost worked, but I remember the evening quite well and I remember getting to chat with you, even if it was ever so briefly.

Cheers to our next Meet and Greet gathering!

have joined you after but my husband (Who had a great time talking with Paul (colonialpara) and MikeHolmes much of the time) had to get home Sunday morning so we headed out of town after playing upstairs at the arcade - he and Phil (popsrocks) rode the white river raft really well. It was great saying hello to you:) jo

1) Elise reminds me of Lisa Whelchel (AKA Blair from "The Facts of Life") for some strange reason. She was delightful, though.

2) Thank you for being the source of me losing my oyster virginity. They were nowhere near as bad as I imagined they would be.

3) No one accused me of carrying their love child. We'll have to work on that.

4) You were awesome at karaoke. You covered my *ss when I completely forgot the words to "Gold Digger".

You rock!! And I promise that we'll go for drinks when you wind up back in the city!!
