Unparalleled Aggravating and Stressful Online Shopping

This online store sells motorcycle parts for a variety of motorcycles, primarily Japanese. What brought me there was a Google search for a footpeg lowering kit for my 2000 Kawasaki Concours sport/touring bike. This kit lowers the pegs about 1.5" which relieves some hip pain and knee pain. 1Tail.com had the best price I found and free shipping, so I ordered it. Their site is easy to navigate, and has security for taking credit card payments.
The site is very professional in appearance, and there are a lot of parts in stock there. By clicking on the link in Google I went directly to the part I was looking for, put it in my cart, and paid for it with a Visa card. The total charge was $72.95 delivered to my door.
Within a few minutes I received an order confirmation/receipt for $72.95 at my e-mail address. That was on April 28, 2009. I thought I had it made since they are located in Minnesota, and I figured it would be delivered in no more than three (3) days. After a week I called their customer service line (not an 800 number so it was at my own expense during business hours). The person who answered could not tell me the status of my order, but promised to call back. I told him that 1Tail.com had billed my Visa card for $78.06, not the $72.95 I had authorized and had a receipt for. After I spoke to this guy I sent an e-mail asking that the order be canceled and that I receive a credit on my Visa card.
After a few more days I had not received an e-mail or telephone response so I called and e-mailed again. The customer service person on the phone still could not tell me the status of my order, whether it had been sent, cancelled, or backordered. I sent yet another e-mail that was significantly unfriendly, but did not receive any response to that. After 16 days I have not received the item, gotten a credit on my Visa, nor gotten any return phone call or an e-mail.
Today (5/13/09) I ran whois.com to find out who owned 1tail.com, and sent an e-mail to that parent company detailing the abysmal service I had received. No response at all.
Two days ago I ordered the item from another online store, http://www.motorcyclelarry.com, and received it today (5/13/09). I still have not received a credit for the overcharge from 1Tail.com, but will dispute it with my card issuer (yet another aggravation and waste of time), which when added to my daytime landline calls to customer service in Minnesota from California has brought the total cost of doing business with 1Tail.com to at least $85.00 and no product.
It is an inviting site that is easy to use, offers good prices, and free shipping for some items, but their customer service is pathetic. Pay a little more and get it from professionals who take some pride in their business. I e-mailed 1Tail.com and their parent company that I was going to write a negative review of their site, and still they did not respond. Trust me on this one, do not order anything from 1Tail.com unless you have a fetish for grief, aggravation, and financial loss. I would not recommend this site to my worst enemy.
(UPDATE 5/21/09): As of today I still haven't heard from these people, and they still are charging my Visa card with the overcharge. I have filed a dispute with my card issuer, but look at how much time has been spent dealing with something that should have been an easy purchase. Bad, greedy people take a lot of happiness out of your life.
(UPDATE 12/13/09): After 4 months my Visa card issuer reversed the charge because I had disputed it. I had to call and e-mail customer service at the bank more than 10 times. They never got any response from 1tail, but it took the bank until August to give me the credit.
