I'm finding that the refurbished external cd drive (IBM #22P9079) I ordered from them is a complete piece of junk. (This may sound like pure opinion but I swear it's an "accurate fact"!) It does not work . . . at all. I hooked it up with my AC/DC adapter and was able to get the power light to blink, but then all it would do is pop open. Gross inaccuracy in USB connection ability -- it does not use a USB 2.0 Type A 4-pin as described . . . I'm having trouble even tracking down what type of cord would fit into it! While I don't know much about computers, I showed it to a friend today who does and he was a bit puzzled. I've looked around online to find the correct cord configuration and am stumped. Perhaps it would actually work if I could connect it to my computer, but it's looking like that may never happen . . .
I only paid $13 for the drive, $3 for a 1-year warranty (ha), and $10 for shipping . . . after reading the rest of the reviews here, I'm wondering if I should just eat the $26 and save myself the frustration of trying to resolve this with the company?
