Lack of factory installed software and poor computer technicians

I bought my Dell computer 4 years ago on-line through the official Dell website. I am amazed at the high reviews I've read on this site because my experience with Dell was negative. The price was good and the desktop computer came with a low end all-in-one printer. The computer was shipped in a timely manner. My review of the computer itself is good. The order was not accurate because my software package was not installed and all of the discs except the driver disc and printer disc were missing. Missing was the factory installed software package worth about $300.00 which should have included Wordperfect and many other high end software. I didn't even receive my Windows disc, luckily that was the only software installed on the computer. My copy of the Windows disc was not even included, which has caused me so many problems over these last few years. Due to the lack of the essential software discs, I had to call Dell's customer service technicians quite a few times. Each time I called I spoke to foreigners with heavy accents resulting in tremendous communication problems. Dell finally sent me a copy of Windows but it was not the disc that was registered to my computer and I can never repair or reinstall Windows on my computer unless I go buy my own copy and you might realize just how tremendously expensive that would be. During my warranty period and due to the lack of the important computer software, each time I had a problem with the computer a Dell computer technician caused me additional computer problems either because of the language barrier or their own lack of appropriate knowledge. Please understand, I have a college degree in Computer Information Systems, therefore, had I been given the correct instructions I could have fixed my computer problems. I will never buy from Dell again and it is not because I think the products are poor. It has to do with the incompetance setting up the ordered systems and the customer service contracted through another country.
