Pros:Reliable, superior technical support
Cons:Heavy , rigid and poor touch pad sensitivity
The Bottom Line: Other than the weight, this is a very reliable machine. DELL's support is, without question, the best in the business. And it adds lots of value to this product.
This laptop is very easy to use. Dell has given very clear instructions for the user. The first weakness noticed was the poor sensitivity of the touchpad. I use a mouse whenever I can. Also, it was unfortunate the Intel Pentium II CPU that came with the product was faulty and it caused intermittent freezes. However, several technical support persons I contacted were courteous and sincere in helping resolve the problem. Per technician's request, the machine was sent back to DELL for replacement-all freight paid for by DELL. The first time, DELL replaced the mother board but kept the CPU. The repair technician could not figure out what was wrong. I sent it back again and leave a notes in the DELL provided box indicating the CPU was faulty. And after DELL replaced the CPU, the machine is running very smoothly ever since.
