The Bottom Line: I'd recommend it to anyone who doesn't have a CD player, and it is a good value. I'd recommend it with caution about that darn button.

I've had this CD player for about a year. I received it as a gift last Christmas. I had someone experienced put it in, and thank goodness, it turned out to be a royal pain. The unit I had was cracked from the factory, or possibly from the store. Much to my dismay I had to get the car put back together, and go get a new one. Sears was good about swapping it out and then I had it installed.
If you don't already have a CD player, then let me tell you, it was SO AWESOME to be able to take any of my music with me. This is one of the best gifts I have ever gotten. I am a big music fan. I'll keep it brief here, saying that the CD4250 is great for playing all of my music CD's. Even CD's that I have burned (made) myself play fine. I have used several brands such as Maxell, Verbatim, and Generic, and all play fine in this unit. Sure, I'll get the occasional E-04 error telling me it wont play, but this happens just as much with store bought CD's as it does with home-made ones.
Overall, good unit, good value. But I do expect that rotary knob to go out on me eventually, because I've known a few other people with similar units (with these knobs) and every one of them eventually gets messed up. It will either not work at all, or it will go up and not down or whatever. But I've had it for a year and it's still working good and powers the speakers I have (2 8's) decently.
