I brought a warranty for my digital picture frame from Square Trade. I purchased the frame from Circuit City. They went out of business. Luckily, I purchased an warranty for the frame from Square Trade because I had dealt with Square Trade before. Square Trade warranties are very inexpensive compared to store warranties.The picture frame stopped working and Square Trade handled the claim quickly. They sent a pre-paid mailing label for shipping the broken item via UPS. During the process Square Trade sent regular updates on the status of the claim to my email address. It was excellent customer service. As soon as they received the item they sent payment for the item via PayPal. The process was fast and hassle free. The entire claim was settled in less than 10 days. I think Square Trade will give warranties for most home appliances and electronic items. Square Trade will generally replace any broken items under warranty. They would not try to repair my digital picture frame or my mp3 player. Warranty claim payments are sent to your PayPal account and can be directly deposited to your bank account via PayPal. I would prefer to have the warranty payment sent directly to me in the form of a check, but PayPal is pretty reliable. I highly recommend Square Trade for warranties.
