The Bottom Line is egocentric; let's just face it.

I work in fast food, and uh, writing. Three things about my industr(ies):

Don't Eat At McDonald's: I worked there for over a year, and have witnessed the atrocities. Patties are produced from frozen "meat cakes" of terror. Managers don't use their gloves in customer-cumbrous moments. Employees eat the pickles.

Read: The key to being a great writer is being a great reader. It's preferable to read what you'll write-----for example, I plan to work in satire. I write my best satire when I'm reading Joseph Heller. Salinger is amongst the greatest writers of all time, and I believe he read around 250,000 words a day? Maybe not; I get my numbers confused. It was a high number, I'll tell you that. Suitably, he also admired Fitzgerald.

Don't Let College Get in the Way of your Education (stolen from Einstein): I'm still in college. I've barely learned anything. Only two classes out of twelve have done anything for me. My time would be better used reading for myself, which has helped.

1. Which category/categories do you write most reviews for?

Music, film and Writer's Corner (if there was a Lead, I'd be a candidate).

2. Which category/categories do you write the least reviews for?

Everything but.

3. What is the worst product you have reviewed?

Djuna Barnes' Nightwood. Believe it or not, I read it in the class which has helped me the most. The read was an arduous experience. This sums it up best: "Her abridged biography reads, 'Writing did not come easily to Barnes.'"

4. What is the best of the best?

Ken Kesey's One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. That book was both fluent and verbose... it isn't even one of my favorites, but I wish I could write a book like that. It's awe-inspiring.

5. Which was the best value for the money?

The Yeah Yeah Yeahs' Gold Lion Single on iTunes. Two tracks for 99 cents. Not bad.

6. Which product surprised you most, whether it be good or bad?

Norah Jones' Come Away with Me was a stentorian bore tantamount to anything by Coldplay. Yet, I listened to "Feels Like Home" and found myself entranced-----why? Because she actually sounded like she cared.

7. What is your most successful review, when did you write it and how many hits did it receive?

I profited from seeing Michael Moore's Fahrenheit 9/11------and it was a negative review. But man, count those totals-----47 comments, 1 most helpful, a perfect advisor score, 12 not helpfuls, 1 off-topic and three pusillanimous hidden ratings. I wonder what these positions of the latter-mentioned were?
