New, Better way to break in a baseball glove

May 23 '06

The Bottom Line It works, try it!!!

I work for a sporting company and all my reps and product sellers are telling me a new way to break in gloves is by putting it in the freezer. First you put light shaving cream on it, and then you put it in the freezer. The cold air opens the small holes in the leather and it lets the shaving cream open up and that way the entire glove will be broken in forever, not just the outside that lasts for a year, and has a really bad performance. I have tried it on 2 top of the line gloves in my shop. The wilson a2000 and rawlings heart of the hide. Both of the gloves worked alot better than a natural break in. Also wilsons premium glove oil, doesnt work as effectivly as putting it in the freezer for a while. Hope this helps!!! If you have any questions or anything email me at weredidtheygo@Hotmail.com
