I purchased a set of high-yield Canon cartridges (color and b&w) from this merchant (read: "rip-off artist") in January 2008. I did not need to install them until this week (June 2009), so they have remained sealed in their original packaging until now. When opened, the color cartridge in the package was different from the designation on the box and thus would not fit the printer. The black cartridge functioned adequately, but the printer would not recognize it as a new ink cartridge. An immediate email to Inkjet Superstores (requesting return authorization and a full refund) netted me a 'return authorization approval'. As I was preparing to package and ship the items, I received a second email which essentially denied the claim. They had decided to enforce their "one year limitation on defective merchandise" policy. As far as I am concerned, their products were defective from the factory, and my warranty began the day that I actually opened the package. Having worked most of my life in service related industries, I am well aware of the number one rule of thumb for vendors: "The customer is always right". I feel that any reputable merchant would have considered this and recognized the potential negative impact that just one ill-treated customer can present. I wish I had read some of the other reviews on this merchant before wasting my money.
